Back on September 1, 1983, Ron and Marvel Betts purchased their commercial cleaning license from Don Clark, a local ServiceMaster Clean® franchise owner in Rochester, Minnesota. That move was set in motion in 1979 when Ron launched his cleaning career as a floor crew member for ServiceMaster Clean. By 1980, he had become a contract service, sales, and production manager. Marvel joined the ServiceMaster Clean team in 1980 as a part-time housekeeper. Their business became known as ServiceMaster Commercial Cleaning.
